- Seeking a collaborative, student-centered, and highly organized Assistant Principal to support the academic and operational success of the school.
Position Summary:
- Support the Principals in the daily operation of the K–12 school programs.
- Promote a positive school culture focused on academic achievement, student growth, and character development.
- Provide instructional leadership and administrative support for faculty, students, and families.
- Assist with maintaining a safe, organized, and engaging learning environment across all grade levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily school operations and administrative functions.
- Assist with student discipline and behavior management.
- Promote a positive and inclusive school climate.
- Support teacher growth through coaching, feedback, and evaluation processes.
- Assist with curriculum implementation and instructional improvement initiatives.
- Monitor student attendance, academic performance, and intervention supports.
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, families, and support staff.
- Help coordinate testing, scheduling, supervision, and school events.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and professional development activities.
- Ensure compliance with school, district, state, and federal policies and regulations.
- Assist in emergency preparedness and school safety procedures.
- Maintain effective communication with students, staff, families, and community stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or related field.
- North Carolina Principal license or eligibility for licensure.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of successful teaching experience.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
Preferred:
- Previous school leadership or administrative experience.
- Experience in a K–12 or charter school environment.
- Knowledge of MTSS, instructional coaching, and data-driven decision-making.
- Experience supporting student discipline and restorative practices.
- Ability to foster collaboration and school-wide continuous improvement.
