Position: Middle School Science Teacher
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement engaging project-based learning experiences aligned with curriculum standards and student interests.
- Facilitate student-centered instruction that promotes inquiry, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Mentor and guide students through the entire project lifecycle, from ideation and planning to execution and reflection.
- Foster a collaborative classroom environment where students work together to tackle real-world challenges and develop 21st-century skills.
- Provide ongoing support and feedback to students to help them achieve project goals and academic objectives.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate interdisciplinary concepts and promote cross-curricular connections.
- Utilize technology and other resources to enhance learning experiences and facilitate student research and exploration.
- Assess student learning through a variety of methods, including project presentations, portfolios, and performance assessments.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and stakeholders to provide updates on student progress and program initiatives.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in project-based learning and educational trends.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Passion for innovative teaching practices and student-centered learning.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
Preferred:
- Valid teaching certification/license.
- Demonstrated experience with project-based learning pedagogy and instructional design.
